After nearly two decades of working in hospitality and community, I've learned one thing: motivation is a non-renewable resource. There is often an infinite and unending demand for service. We only have so much energy to give, and it doesn't take long to give the little we have. We're only human.
Better Than Pizza
m. Some will want to participate, and some will not. That's ok. You should still try to add some variety. Here's what I did this weekend. I took my team on a quick tour of the city. An adventure that took us across the river, trails, and rails. If you think your team would enjoy it, feel free to use any ideas that would help.
Working in Pain
Tragedy never follows a schedule, and it never comes at a convenient time. You could be at work one day, and you get that call that forever changes your life. The workplace does have a role in supporting someone going through a painful chapter in their life. Life is hard, but we can do hard things with community support.
