There is something so special and powerful about a child creating art. He painted a bright yellow sunshine, green grass, and a tree. In my eyes, my son painted the most beautiful landscape I had ever seen.
Make it Home
But we only have 24 hours a day to work with. Family, work, and sleep all want some of those hours. I'm happy to be in the camp that is able to make it home almost every day to be there when the kids go to bed and to be there in the morning to make them breakfast. Being a Dad is not easy, but it's worth it.

There is one thing you could include in your travel budget that will enhance your experience at your destination, continue to provide value for you for years to come, and provide a gateway for you to return to the great memories you made on your trip. If you can’t pack a photographer, you should at least budget to hire a professional one.

I hadn't put much thought into the quality of my French on our family trip to Quebec City, but I did feel a sense of gratitude for my parents' decision when I was five years old to put me in a French immersion school program.
